Harkaway Primary School has kicked off Term 2 with a fantastic start, and our Week 1 Assembly was a great reflection of our strong community, student achievements, and upcoming activities.
We began with a thoughtful Acknowledgment of Country, recognising the Bunurong people and reinforcing our shared commitment to caring for the land, sky, ourselves, and each other.
There are plenty of important dates coming up this term, including Swimming, Cross Country, and a Curriculum Day, so it’s shaping up to be a busy and exciting few weeks ahead.
A special moment from the assembly was the recognition of student achievements across all year levels. From Jayden’s confident start in Prep, to Bentley and Liam demonstrating persistence and organisation, through to Hamish, Hayden, and Billie being acknowledged for their effort and commitment, it’s clear our students are embracing the school’s values and making a strong start to the term.
We also reflected on important community moments, including ANZAC Day, and shared updates on upcoming events such as the District Cross Country and the Jump Rope for Heart fundraising program, which begins on 30 April.
